DGtrials is putting on a drift event at Turner Field on December 4th. I'm going to be driving my car since Tim(mptuning) still isn't finished with the drift/project car. If anyone wants to, they can come and watch me beat the hell out of my car for $5. Pre registration is $90 if you want to drive. :goodjob:

This is just a practice day. It should be fun to watch though. There's going to be a bunch of amatures out there(like me).

Although, I'll be auto-xing at the Champion of Champions event, I'll have to take a walk over to check this thing out. Especially if a local S2k will be slipping around. Maybe it will be raining. It's a lot easier to control a slide in the rain... at least with S02's. In the dry, their breakaway characteristics are not progressive enough.

Trying to drift on S02's is a waste of time. I wish we were doing this in the green lot, on the bricks. That lot is huge.

Donovan and his 240 with the RB swap will be done on the 2nd ... he will be joining us ... my project will be almost complete but not in time for the 4th ... there is a guy selling a AE86 I may pick up to the event or one of the stock 240sx's I have sitting around :D

I've got plenty of rubber to kill. I've got a bunch of diffrent size tires to experiment with. Everything from 255/40/17's to 205/55/16's

I stopped in for a bit. I didn't get to see Jones drift but just seemed a little odd to drift on a slope. I needed to do some business with Tim and go about my way for other things. I might be able to stay longer next time.

The 1st session, I sucked. The car wasn't doing what I needed it to do. I found out that the driver's front tire had 55psi in it :mad: After getting that adjusted, the car, and I did a lot better in the second session. I think I only spun once.

That car looked like crap, and went like stink. That thing is bad ass. It's a 240sx with just a sheetmetal swap on the front clip. It's powered by a rb20det.

We did get some video and I got some pictures, but nothing really good since I didn't have access to the media areas. I was really proud of David - he did a fabulous job for his first event. Most everyone was amazed to see an S2000 drifting. There were some other cool cars there...several G35's, a 350Z, even a BMW! That 240 shown above was actually really cool to watch. He had the most smoke out of anybody!
