I have read a good bit of reviews/feedbacks on nitrous systems and concluded that it won't hurt the car if used properly.

my question is...how do you use nitrous "properly"? do you press the "go->" button when you in the highest gear? I somewhat know the general idea of how the system works, but never got around digging it...

dry:wet
safe:not safe

how do you use it and is it worth it? c'mon guys...teach me...:D

I can't have NOS on my car. I would be using it all the time. It would cost a fortune. Most modern NOS systems use a WOT(wide open throtle) switch to activate(in my case it would be on all the time).

Modifry and JetGuy could probably help the most with your questions if you want to try PMing one or both of them.

is it worth it though?? its $3-40 to fill up the tank...and it lasts about 10-15 shots of 1/4 mi...it should be worth it since i live my life quarter-mile at a time...:D ...

I actuate my no2 above 4300 rpm and have it cut off at 8800 rpm. this is controled thru modifrys rpm beeper. i have to have the system armed (switch) and i have to be at full throttle (throttle possition sensor ) . I am running a zex wet kit with 75 hp jets installed. you also need to get one heat range colder spark plugs, i recomend the denso iridium ik-24's. you could do a coulpe of other things to make it even safer. 1) set up anouther set of solinoids in series , just incase the first set gets stuck open. 2) install a fuel pressure cut off switch , to stop nitrous flow if there were a sudden loss of fuel pressure ( ruptured fuel line, failed fuel pump).
ntrous is fun and inexpensive. but it is not useable in roads like the dragon, or even small traks like lil taladaga. a 10 lb. bottle will last for about 14 1/4 mile passes/ street races or 3 min total. ALWAYS TURN YOUR BOTTLE OFF WHEN YOU GET OUT OF THE CAR. a solinoid could stick open and fill your intake manifold with no2 . next start BOOM!

thats a purge solinoid. purpose: 1) look cool 2) deliver fresh liquid no2 right up to the solinoids for a harder hit of no2 (instantanious power).

This is true. In fact, ZEX sells just a purge kit that does nothing but make this effect. Of course it does it in colored plumes of smoke that can be lit with their LED purge light! I'm almost certain that if you buy just the purge kit and face it backwards, you'll gain about 2000lbs of thrust:goodjob:

Of course, I'm in the works of my own "show" purge kit. I'll be using some Halloween leftovers, but I think this will definitely get the magazine spot.:D

Now that is funny! Maybe you could get the bottle filled with something less expensive.

about $500 for wet kit. forgot how much the rest is: pm modifry for rpm beeper. call nopi and tell them about your s2katlanta membership and you will get a discount on all the rest: purge kit, spark plugs, bottle gauge. they even give you a free first fill of no2!!
