I will post an actual pic once i get them on the computer, but this is what it looks like. it is used, but i no longer wear contacts so no oakleys for me :(
i have a black one like that above, and the silver one thats more of an oval shape. Again, this im posting for s2katl.com for first dibs. i will post pics as soon as tonight or tomm. and then it goes on ebay or s2ki.com and few other forums for sale.
also, im open to trades with s2k parts such as:
jdm clear diffusers
jdm clear side markers
countersunk ball shiftknobs
car cover
even trade or + xtra $ in your pocket depending on circumstances. make me offers. Authentic oakleys...no foakleys.

if you like the frames, oakley may do prescription lenses for them........I have a pair of prescription Oakleys. Pretty expensive, but I've had them for awhile so I guess it was worth it. If you are the type that loses or breaks sun glasses this might not be something you want to do.
i can care for my stuff...,but the type of oakleys shown above are not compatible with prescribed lenses. if im going back with oakleys though...i'll have to get the wire band ones...
thanks for the suggestion and ideas~~
btw, these retail $90/black one $120/silver one (oval lense) (not that i want retail, but just an idea so people can offer)

It's not whether they are made from metal or plastic...it's the shape of the lense...if there is too much "bend" in the lense you can't have them done prescription...
I have had numerous types of sunglasses done in prescription but it always seems the ones I like the most have too much bend in the lense...I have to "settle"...but, most manufacturers have plenty to choose from when it comes to making decent prescription sunglasses...my current frames are Armani and they worked just fine...have also had Serengeti and Ray Ban in the past

I think more or less it has something to do with how much you spend is how well you take care of the glasses. I use to buy the cheap ones but I kept breaking them and scratching the lenses. Now I have a pair of bolle that I paid for @125.00 and I have had them for more than 2 years.

I haven't had a pair of "expensive" sunglasses since I wrecked my first s2000...they flew off of my head into the woods. There is probably a bear or a beaver running around up there with a nice set of RayBans. ;) :)

I lost my best pair while on my motorcycle. I was so mad. I had them for 3years and had to go through hell to get them from Revo to begin with. Wish I could find a used set that was the same.

ok me next.
before i got deals i was down in florida and managed to forget my glasses....the very next morning we were waiting outside sunglass hut for them to open up.
i bought a new set of minutes @ 140 and bought my buddy a set of half jackets or about the same price.
i promptly lost them 15 minutes later in the gulf.
straight back to the shop we go where the girl behind the counter immediately asks "where are your glasses?" i reply with "apparently some shark is now wearing them" and purchase another set. good thing she felt bad and gave me a discount :)
send me pics to tommyboii@comcast.net
any scratches n stuff?
i have one with an oval lense...its a little bigger i guess than the black one UP on top of this page...i have it right in front of me and this thing is looking brand new...its silver and there are no fades or anything (model: jacket)...it looks as if it just came out of the show case...no scratch on this one...
the black one i have to check...i lend it to my friend and will get it back soon...i will post pics soon.

but the type of oakleys shown above are not compatible with prescribed lenses. On the contrary my friend...the Minute is one that Oakley does in prescription. I am a Premium dealer for Oakley, but the frame is limited to what RX you can put in there...I think it is up to a -3.00 diopter RX.
Visit The Eye Gallery in Sandy Springs to get a 15% discount...ask for Chuck.:D

It is definately possible...but like I said earlier, it depends on the RX.
You're apparently going to the wrong optometrist.:D

if it were up to me id get you all a pair for the "low low" but it isnt. my mom works for the luxotica warehouse and they have associate sales about twice a year. she doesnt like to drive to work on her day off even though i offered to chauffer(?) her back and forth and pay for everything. she just pops up occasionally with a pair for me and the missus. ill see what i can do though:) as its nice to have sunglasses that fit and not have to pay 100+ for them.(i told you all about my florida incident right?)
as for the unsold/leftover stock...they drive a great big truck full of expensive sunglasses to a landfill with a police escort and then proceed to dump the glasses. then they back over em a few times with a dozer for good measure.(this is what i was told anyways...)
