i just bought this a few days ago used...it has less than 500 miles on it. the cf box has a scratch mark from the hood. this will be here some time late next week. giving you guys first dibs- $200.

reason- came across my dream set up ARC approx. 2 days after i sent payment.

once i receive the intake, this will be posted on s2ki.com as well. so until then, s2katl.com is the only place i have posted. :goodjob:
Let me know when you install your ARC. I figured some stuff out that might save you some time.

That's a common problem for Comptech airbox.

this is for sale on s2ki.com now...pictures are there as well. condition is excellent. i accidentally put the usage of the intake as 3,000 miles on the s2ki.com for sale listing, but its 500. editing that on s2ki.com will cause a riot im sure so im leaving it at that. the intake does the talking itself...looks like in excellent condition.

-only a nickel sized market on the cf box...
-goes on ebay if within a week or so...(i think)

comptech is better then arc imo. why??? i can't remember. but it is. i do know that arc is talking about "supercharger like air intake" more like bull****charger air intake you are litterally sucking in HOT air that is spit out by the engine. not the cold air that you would want

highest offer on the intake is $240shipped. you local folks are missing out!!! this intake is 85% new looking!!!

hp gains? from arc. can't tell. but i wouldn't expect much since it is hot air like i said. yeah i would say 5 at the most. but you can't lose from the arc since it is sucking in air just like the stock airbox.if it is possible you could do it the spoon style.

thats sort of what i was thinking...get an inlet to bring in some air into the bay...i dunno if its necessary or all that worth it, but we'll see if i get around doing it...

you're gonna have to carve some stuff up. i recommend a dremel. but if you're a poor ass like me. the i recommend a lighter and a pocket knife. the trick is to heat up the knife.

i can be dead poor or pimpin rich...my "income" is unstable...so i try to do things when im pimpin rich :) . although i have used a 2inch razor and a lighter before on my car...:o (never recommended)...

im thinking about something much crazier than spoon snorkel design...but my knowledge on the design is limited to an extent. with some pictures, im posting it up on s2ki and see if its possible and worth it. you'll see what it is in 2 weeks.

this is what i was thinking for awhile.
cut the oem vents (the left one if you were looking at the front of the car) and do it aem style/spoon style. pipeing like aem but the hole like the spoon. and put the openingaround the outside of the vent. it's a good idea. and you don't need to cut a big hump like the spoon and mugen.

I would definitly install your intake first then think about chopping. You'll get some good ideas about the element in the side. I always thought about running duct work there, but I don't feel like fooling around that much.

hopefully my intake would be here by the end of this week...is the installation pretty much self-explanatory like any other intakes? i might have to take a peek at your engine bay one more time joe...:)

It's pretty straight forward. The engrish is bad at times, but you can make out what they want you to do. Let me know if you need a hand. I'll be more than happy to help.
