View Full Version : Who needs paintless dent removal?

Weekend before last at the Butler Tire open house a paintless dent removal shop setup a display. I spoke with the two men in the both and decided to have them give me an estimate for my car.
I had three dents, one in the hood from an acorn drop, one in the passenger door from a moron in a parking lot, and one in the driver side front fender (near the S2000 badge) from another moron.
The shop quoted me $125 to remove all three dents ($40+$45+$40) plus they offered an additional 10% open house discount if I had them do the service at the show so the total cost was only $112.50. I decided to have them do the work and I'm glad I did. Every dent was removed, you could not see where any of the dents had been. They didn't even have to drill one hole or take apart anything more than the plastic fender well piece to get at one of the dent.
These guys did a frickin' AWESOME job. Turns out one guy used to work for dent wizard and is considered a master level technician.
If I took my business to Dent Wizard the cost would have easily been more than double, even with the club discount. We should talk to these guys about becoming a club sponser.
So my question is, who needs paintless dent removal? I'd be willing to call up the shop and coordinate a "Dent Removal Day" for club members and see if we can get the same discounts that was offered at the Butler Tire open house.
Here is the info for the shop that did such great work (and cheap):

If we get enough people interested I can setup something for this weekend. Maybe I'll sponsor the open house and we can also Zaino the cars and drink some beer while the paintless dent repairs are going on.
Tentative Date for the Group Dent Repair is September 3rd.

If we can get 5 or 6 people together I'll setup the open house for this Saturday maybe from 1-4.
I'm sure the discounts will be worth it. Like I said in my first post, probably at least half of what dent wizard charges.

I called Precision dent and they would be available Saturday from 1PM - 4PM if we get a crowd of interested owners together. They also confirmed that a group discount would be offered. I need to confirm with them no later than Thursday afternoon so if anyone is on the fence please jump in.

Seems like too much going on this weekend with the SELOC meet at Discover Mills and the mountain drive. I was just trying to help everyone out by putting something together and get a group discount. Since I don't see a firm commitment from 6 other people I'll call Precision Dent and tell them not to bother with this Saturday.
If any of you want to use them give them a call, they do great work.

We've actually got about 8 people that need a total of 14 dents removed. I think that would be enough business for Precision dent to do in an afternoon.
If most of those 8 people still want to shoot for this weekend I can still put something together for tomorrow.
Who thinks they can be available Saturday and when?

Though I'd revive this thread. Anyone wanting to do an organized group dent repair session. We would find a central location where we all could meet with the dent repair guy and have him do everyone's repairs at one time at a discount.

I'm interested. I have a very small ding in the driver's side door. I'll even pull the interior door panel off myself. They usually don't need the door panel removed, they go in between your side window and weather stripping. I've seen it done, it's very simple and nothing gets damaged.
Date and time are a factor, but I am definitely interested.
We could either set something up for next week (maybe at Franky's) or we could do it at Modifry's place if he's available and is willing to host. That's about as central as you can get.
I have one on the passenger rear, above the tire.

I contacted Jeremy and he's willing to meet us for a group dent removal. Since 6 of the 8 people listed are in Gwinnett I'd like to just set this up to be done at my house.
Since this coming weekend is July 4th weekend I think most people already have some plans. The following two weekends do not work for me either, the soonest we can set this up is July 23rd.
I wonder if they would come out to NAC's which is also in Gwinnett while we BBQ and chill on July 3rd... I have 2 dents: passenger fender, pass. door.

Okay, I spoke with Jeremy and he's open to meet with the group, basically we just need to tell him when and where. I'd like to open up a couple of options:
1) Have him come by during this Thurday's dinner meet in Gwinnett. Only issue is he will only be able to do a few cars due to the sun going down in the evening.
2) Stop by his shop in Lawrenceville after the Panoz tour this coming Saturday. We should be done earlier in the day so he'd be able to do more cars if needed.
3) Lastly, have him stop by the next Thursday night dinner meet at Franky's. Again, limited on daylight so he can only do a few cars.
We can do all three if it works out that way. Bottom line is he wants our business and maybe we just establish a "club" discount per individual rather than a "group" discount.
I need some input from people here. How many people can we expect to see show up and want dent repair at any of the above three times?

Dave, I wanted this guy to look at my car also and tell me what he thought I should do, the car has recently been painted and they body shop didn't take all the dents out that I asked them to...so I don't think it fixable but I don't know, I'm not asking for a club discount just an opinion and maybe I can take it to him later if it can be fixed. Its just disappointing to look at after the money I spent and I am going back to the place for paint chipage on my kit so I'll talk to them about it too.

Doesn't hurt to ask or take it over to his shop. You can either bring it by on Saturday or give him a call and setup your own, personal appointment. I'm sure he'll still give you a good price.
Where you live? You don't have to give specific directions over the board but a ballpark...:D
I was thinking that people could just follow me over after the Panoz tour but I'll post directions in the "Confirmed Dates" thread.

That's fine. I was just asking for the fact that if its far out of the way(as far as where I live) I would just get it done on my own time at their shop! I'll find out on Saturday:D

Well I went to see Jeremy at Precision Dent and I have to say they do impressive work. I was very pleased. I don't know if you want to update the beginning thread. But I guess Chuck isn't a partner anymore. He mentioned taking his name off the post. But thanks David for the lead. I think we should have some sort of preferred vendor list for them. They don't necessarily have to give us a discount. But I think the prices are more than fair. Jeremy gave me a fair price plus mentioned a coupon online for $15 off. So :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: !

How much was it? I have a tiny tiny tiny dent in my driver's rear quarter panel that needs to be taken out. It's probably only 1/8 inch pressed in, and not creased anywhere - in fact it's hardly noticeable to people unless I point it out to them and they see it in the right light. Still it bothers me. Wouldn't cost too much right?

You're not allowed to buy anything else for your car until you fix it :D

It probably would of been cheaper to have it done as a group when David did put this together. They do mention a minimum of $79 dollars but I would just take it to them and see. I paid $160(after coupon) for a softball size dent in the rear quarter that was right on the crease opposite of the gas door and a crease about 8 inches long on the door that was from someone hitting there door on my car.

I found a place in Knoxville that is expanding to Atlanta. Called Dent Station Plus. They do paintless dent removal, curb rash repair, scratch and paint chip repair and winshield pit/chip repair.
We just got a "keep it new" deal for Paula's car. $500 for three years of everything. And looking at the rocks on the roads here plus the parking lot damage, it will pay for itself in a year. (One door ding $80)
You guys should look them up when they get there. Or I will tell you where they are going to open.

Jeremy was great! Took out 2 HUGE dents in my front/rear bumper on my Landcruiser as well as the door dings! Can't even tell there was ever a problem. Total cost for the Cruiser was about $369... He also took out some (3) small dents in my S... beautiful work! I would highly recommend these guys! So if you see the picture of the Spa S in his shop with the BBS LM's... that is me.
