No...not my car...fortunately...however...the dumb-butt that broke into the car next to me threw a metal toolbox on top of my trunk! So...now I have tons of scratches all over my trunk...

Anyone know where I can get it fixed and about how much it will cost...my deductable is $1000...so, I'm not going to go through them...

Platinum does a great job. They are kind of expensive though.

Give Alex a call. He does all the paint and body work for MPTuning. They are a lot less expensive.

404-608-9988 ask for Alex tell him Tim from mptuning sent you.

Nothing against platinum collision. They've done some great work for me.

Better a toolbox on the trunk than a tool through the window or in a door lock.

Still sucks though, good luck with the repairs.

I feel for you as my S has been the victem of vandelism in the past. It completely sucks how someone doing one stupid thing can cause so much touble after the fact.

So sorry to hear that Amy, that stinks. It's good that the damage wasn't any worse though. Good luck with the repairs.

MsHotteacher can you post a pictures for me? if its not too deep, you should just get it treated with some of those scratch removers, repainting any of metal part on the vehicle will seriously reduce the value of your car...if you are goin to sell it later.

thanks for all the advice...I'm going to take it somewhere to see if it can be buffed out...I'm crossing my fingers...I may luck out...
The car that was broken into was a 95 or 96 Ford Explorer...and the cars next to it were mine and a 2004 Range Rover...hmmm...smart vandals!

Sorry about that Amy. That sucks that some a hole would put a tool box on top of a s2000. If it were me, I'd be looking for that piece of ****

Ok...I think I'm a candidate for the buff-wax...I was quoted $69...is that about right? Where do you recommend that I take it?

That seems about right. Maybe a little less since it is only a section not unless they are going to wax the whole thing and only buff out the scratches.

sounds right if we will get some betterments from the buffing.
