Tein Flex...DONE!!!

I've done the fronts on thursday...very easy to do...

I was stuck on the rears because I couldn't get to the rear driver side...calling a few on this board and jeff at evolutions on how to remove it...

well...you don't remove it...just an extention. it wasn't as bad as i thought it'd be...k...so i got the rears done this sunday. started at 8am and ended around 9am...

i did not drop it much, but i think i'll leave it at it until i get some wheels...about 1 or 2 finger gap in the front and 2 two 3 in the back...

damp was set to 8 in the front and 10 in the back...or at least i think thats what the instructinos told me to do...

everythings done except EDFC...i took it out the box...and opened the engine bay....after staring at the edfc wires for about a minute or two...i put them back in the box :D no clue where the wires go...

overall...installation went pretty smooth...it wasn't as bad as my last tein installation where a friend had to literally puch down the rotor about 2 inches so i can fit the struts...on s2000...i was able to barely do it one hand...

im taking it easy for now...but the car looks so much better...:goodjob:

can't wait till our next mtn. drive :drive:

so if i get coilovers do i need springs? i ask this because they sell both. and the coilovers looks like they already have spring on them

or so i need to buy springs and coilovers?

ryan, you preferred monday and i can't be out on mondays unless its a holiday...i didn't even want to bother your sunday time (rest time)...i appreciate your offer though...i just couldn't stand myself looking at the tein box...in fact, i started wiring up the edfc and i brought rear wires into the console and the front wires in the footwell...!!! :D i just have to figure out how to get the headunit out and where to plug for power...

yoon, its like this
1.spring w/oem shocks (eibach,espelir,tein s-tech/h-tech etc.)
2.spring w/aftermarket shocks (separate purchase:koni, tokico etc.etc., above springs)
3.coilover (GroundControl, comptech adj.) w/oem shocks
4.coilover (GroundControl, comptech adj.) w/aftermarket shocks (separate purchase: yellow adj. konis. etc.)
5.high-end coilovers $1000+ w/their shocks+oem upper mounts
6.high-end coilovers $1000+ w/their shocks+upper mounts (Flex)

with spring/your choice of shocks...your looking $800 or so for the set up...i think the cheapest full coilover is HKS...which is $1200...

coilovers do have springs...but you dont compress them like the oem springs...or any other "springs"...you can adjust height with coilovers. your turn the knob below the spring and you go lower...raise and go higher...

so if i were to get some trin coilovers i would not need shocks or springs since it's all included? or spoon

i think tein flex, RA, HA is available for the s2k...and they all have upper mounts...so you do not need anything else...its like a package deal...sort of...but better...

flex is the cheapest...the other two are more towards performance driven...whereas flex is comfort and less performance...

ok...so now...all i have to do with plug in the red,yellow and green wires and the ground wire. there are 3 red clips with little metal piece in it...

now...i have no idea what to do from here...pick up the phone ryan!!! :)
