Yeah, it's not far from the track. Fortunately, I'm not too far either. Anyone that wants to bring over some video games etc, we can make a night of it after track day. I have extra rooms.

planning to be there -- Morgan will probably come on this one, so would someone mind Toni coming along as their co-pilot?

(Joe is correct, it's SpaceShipOne by Scaled Composites. Just successfully completed it's 1st X-prize space run this morning - wonder how long it will be before I can afford to ride Virgin Galactic?)

Gentlemen, the road from Hwy 21 (where TGPR is) to Cheaha is like a mini dragon, but much more dangerous. This road is about 14 miles & gets very curvy after about 3-4 miles. Unfortunately, the road is also very narrow with no run off space before you hit the trees.

Hwy 49 from Cheaha to Linville is also nice.

Yeah, just show up. Monthly drives are just get togethers. No money, no invites, no guest list. Sunday is going to be more exploring than anything else. I'll go ahead and set the meet point for the rideshare lot on exit 24 of I-20 westbound (villa rica). Exit to your right. Before the second light there is a rideshare parking lot on your right. We should meet there around 10:30. If you're running late, call me or dewain so we don't leave you. remember to bring your radios.

suggestion: many of us are leaving for the Oct 23 drive in the morning. Why don't we all meet on the west side of town around 9 or 9:30 EST.
That way Toni can catch her ride with DocT, Mrs. Melcher can catch a ride as well to meet Tom, and we can caravan the rest of the way to Joe's place.

By the way Joe, I may have missed it, but would you post directions or address to your place?

Sure, we will actually be meeting at the rideshare that's on my exit. Take I-20 west to exit 24 (Villa Rica). Turn right off the ramp and before the second red light there is a ride share parking lot on the right in front of a Wendy's. I'll be waiting there around 9:40 and we'll leave around 10:00. Make sure you get my number incase you're late and need us to wait or need directions.

The Atlanta Group is leaving from the ride share... please read the top of the thread, it has been updated! That doesn't address Toni's question.

We had discussed a small group meeting PRIOR to Exit 24, so that Lilly Melcher and Toni could hitch rides without having to drive all the way to West BFE; and others of us could caravan to meet Joe at the rideshare.
The suggestion was to meet around an hour or so prior to the exit 24 rendevous.
For those of you wanting or willing to do this, I suggest an 8:30 meeting time, with departure no later than 8:50. Would also suggest Exit 49 off Hwy 20 West. We could meet at Charlie Brown Airport just off the exit - cars left here would probably be safer at the FBO than some fast-food joint.

Please post a head-count for this, so those meeting will know who to wait for.

If any riders who are meeting in the I-20/I-285 vicinity are leaving a car, you are more than welcome to leave it at my home. I am about 6-7 miles from I-20/I-285, and a car would be much safer at my place than along the interstate.

West side of town, just a little outside the perimeter between South Cobb Dr. and Bankhead Highway. I am just down the road from Whitfield Academy (private school) if anyone knows where that is. It is pretty close to I-20/I-285 on the west side if anyone needs to stash a car or a place to meet.
