I was thinking that I really only need one radio for drives and you can't seem to get them except in pairs (unless you opt for the really expensive ones). So, that being the case, I would be willing to buy a nice pair of radios and sell the second one for half price. That way, I have a nicer radio, don't have an extra, and paid a good price. Would anybody be willing to do this if I bought a nice set of motorolas? Maybe something like $70 total that way we each pay around $35.

Keep the second one, the work much better in pairs...

Yeah, but you really don't need two if you're just tuning in to a certain channel for the drive right?

Sure you do. That way you will know what you sound like over the radio. It also adds a cool echo effect:goodjob:

Keep both. If you ever have a passenger they can use it. If the battery in one runs out you have a backup. If one breaks you have another. If a buddy driving another S has problems with his you can let them use yours.

Hmm, I don't know guys. Getting a $75-80 radio for $35 seems alot better than listening to myself echo down the dragon.

I have two also and it does help out... especially if you decide to hit the road on your own and there is another car that you want to be able to keep in touch with. If your only reason for having it is to go on drives with us then one will be fine.... but, I agree having the second has saved my butt a few times...

I didn't want to buy 2 either, Joseph......but over the past couple years I've found the advice everyone is giving to be correct. They've come in VERY handy.

Ok, well you guys talked me into it. I guess I'll have to settle for the less expensive ones that DON'T match my car :)
