Since I've never even put my key in the any of the locks on my car and all the keyholes do is collect dirt, here's what I think is a good solution to covering the ugly keyhole:

I ordered a set for my car. Maybe it will improve the coefficient of drag (cD) by 0.000000000001, who knows but I think it looks better.

Fix: Carry an extra battery in your wallet or change it every three years or so just to be safe.

How do you get the plugs out anyway?

I just e-mailed the guy to see what he needed to ensure the colors matched and asked what type of payments he took. I think they canbe removed by getting your finger nail under the plug and pulling out. Sort of like picking up a quarter off a table. But I will ask him when he replies.

The color match is a risk but for $20 I thought I'd go ahead and give it a try. The silver that was pictured in the thread looked okay and the owner said that was a good match. Yellow may not be as good.
I made payment via paypal, the seller info is in that thread, you can just give him a call or email. They can be removed by getting your finger or a tool behind the plug and pulling it out. There is no adhesive as I first thought, only a protrusion that slides into the keyhole.
