Checking into some way to increase low to midrange power and came across Fuji Racing's IRTB kits only problem is I have a 06 S2K and dont have a clue as to if this will work. Any boby have any sugguestions as to who would be knowledgeable on this?
Hi Art

At the moment I know that our S2000 IRTB kit will work on the 2000-2003 models. Even though displacement increased in 2004, if the 2004 intake ports are the same as the previous models then Yes our IRTB kit will work. If the ECU connectors are the same for all models then the AEM Plug & Play ECU will work. With our S2000 IRTB Dyno test even though we only increased HP by 15 over stock I was satisfied with the results due to the fact that we gained performance over stock single throttle car even before the VTEC kicked in. With our autocross experience with IRTB's I can say with confidence that with our IRTB kit you can increase low-midrange torque over a single throttle car. I can say with confidence that our FujiRacing kit will out perform all other IRTB kits on an autocross course. I can get you a Exedy, ACT or Spec clutch kit with our FujiRacing lightweight Chrome-Moly Flywheel. Please let me know and I will work out a combination for you.

I don't think it will work due to your dbw.

A Florida member recently got them for his AP1 and he gained 41 hp at 6400 rpms. He only gained 2 hp peak and 13 torque peak but he has the stock exhaust and header still.

You may run into a problem with the 06+ since they are DBW. ITB would definitely need to be tuned some sort of engine management. Latest I heard was that development was in the works for a harness (06+) for the AEM EMS so it would work with the factory ecu (piggy back). It may or may not see a significant increase in HP or TQ without other complimentary mods (header, exhaust, etc.) They do sound kickass though. :goodjob:

Shorter final drive gears maybe another option as well.

Yes, the IRTB with the DBW will cause the AEM EMS to up the HP and TQ at RPMS in VTEC with the ECU

 I have NO idea what that meant...but it was fun. :goodjob:
