Hands down, the BEST movie of the year! You'll have to see it 2 or 3 times to catch everything cause you laugh so damn much. Warning though!!!!! If you are easily offended by jokes about blacks, jews, feminist, and pentecostals, then don't go see this! Everyone else with a sense of humor, enjoy!!!

Saw this with Walter Yesterday. Quite possibly the funniest move so far this year. The funniest thing is that a lot of the scenes were setup so the people in them really though that Borat was a Kazak news guy. I read up a little on it. It seems most of the movie was actual reactions from people which makes it even funnier. I got the feeling the whole time that there's no way this was done in a studio. The people's reactions were so genuine.

^have you seed Da Ali G show before? He has two other characters too - a white british hip hop thug and a gay austrian. They all play as if they're reporters and do intervies with all types of people. I can't believe how big that guy's balls are - he says some wild stuff to people right in front of their face.

I've read that Sasha Baron Cohen has a shot at an Oscar - not for playing Borat but to recognize him for the success of it nominating him for his role in Talladega Nights.

...in which he was really good.:D

a gay austrian.

He went to the University of Alabama for a football game as that one, and was cheering with the cheerleaders. Those fans wanted to kill him. Then he interviewed the running back, and kept asking him if he could hook up with the other players or could they date. I was really funny!!! The RB back finally couldn't handle it and freaked.

I scrolled straight down to the bottom of this thread to just say that I'm avoiding all previews and commentaries until I see the movie as I have seen way to many movies that were so hyped and that my expectations were just to high going into the movie which just left me being dissappointed :(

I saw it with Jesse and Buffy and I have to say that I thought it blew. There were a few parts that were funny but overall it just wasn't funny and the people who made me go and see it are going to pay....hehe.....
Its just like Dumb and Dumber movies and Napolean Dynamite although I did come around to Napolean Dynamite after seeing it a hundred times but I don't think this move will be that way.

Sacha sold the voice of Bruno, the gay charactor, to disney so that they can use it in Madagascar 2. Sacha took home @42 million dollars on the deal

With all the lawsuits flying its obvious they didn't film on the locations they eluded too.
