I'll be leaving even earlier than that, around 9-10 AM. I plan on eating lunch in Murphy, NC and making my first run on The Dragon by 1:30.

Checking the Dragon thread on s2ki is tough when s2ki is DOWN AGAIN. Oh well! Both David and I got 9/10 off and I just made reservations at the Jameson in Alcoa for 9/10 and 9/11.

David will be driving his car (unless it's in the shop again!) and I will be passenger this time instead of me driving my S too (like last year). We wanted to be together and also, it's a little bit cheaper if I go as passenger instead of as another driver.

Checking the Dragon thread on s2ki is tough when s2ki is DOWN AGAIN. Oh well! Both David and I got 9/10 off and I just made reservations at the Jameson in Alcoa for 9/10 and 9/11.

Toosies is just past the Outlet Mall on 400 on the right. Where we met for the SESM. I'll be going up late afternoon on Friday, whenever Rick gets through his start sequence and makes it to Toosies!! :D

I might have to back out of the noon crowd and go with the late crowd. I'm waiting on last minute goodies for my S that unfortunately got delayed by UPS and now are arriving on friday. Hopefully it won't be one of those late night deliveries. Does anybody know if you can pick something up at the distribution center instead of waiting for delivery?

Yes, you can ask them to hold onto it at the distribution center as long as you have the tracking #. I end up having to do this all the time because I'm never home when they want to deliver. Luckily I have both UPS & Fedex distribution centers within 5 mins of my office.

Get directions from your place to Dahlonega and then from Dahlonega to Alcoa. It will take you straight up 400 to 129 to the Dragon.

I'm running behind and probably won't leave L'ville until 11:30 now. Taking the most scenic route possible, GA400-->US19/129-->HWY143-->HWY28 (detour by Fontana Dam)-->HWY129-->Foothills Pkwy-->Hotel
