I have a friend who just bought an S2K (yes, I'm working on getting him to join) and wants a bra.
Despite my comments, he is not sure whether he wants a clear bra or one of the more old fashined front masks. If he gets the clear bra I have already recommended Dave at SpeedFilm.
Can you guys please chime in and tell me where good places to are to get good quality front masks? I didnt see anything that really stuck out in the vendor list.

That's because there aren't any good front masks. They all hide the beautiful front of the car. :D I only know of one company that makes them but I can't remember their name. Wendy had one, I believe. Maybe she'll chime in soon.

Colgan is the only company that makes the black traditional bra for this car. If you ask me, black bras look like big diapers on the car. They're ok if you take them to autox or the track or a mountain drive, but I definitely wouldn't ride around with one on. What's the point of having the car then?

I originally bought the Colgan mask for my car to use on long drives and track events but now have the clear bra. I wished I would have purchased the clear bra from the beginning, in the end it would have saved me lots of time and money. The traditional nose mask is a PITA to take on and off. No matter how much I tried to keep it clean it still would have sand and grit between it and the paint. Lastly it really doesn't look that good.
Tell your friend to take the $150 he'd spend on the nose mask and put it twoards the clear bra, he'll be much happier.

I think that they do look good on black cars but otherwise clearbra's the way to go.

Standard bras trap water and dirt under them. When driving, the airflow causes the bra to shift, wiggle, and vibrate.
The end result is the normal bra sanding the paint on the nose of your car.
It's not just an appearance thing to me (though I hate the way the normal bras tend to not fit right around headlights and vents), but the fact that I can't imagine putting something on my car that damages the paint.
The clear bra, on the other hand, does an amazing job of repelling rocks, sandblasting, and bug guts. Nothing that's gotten on mine has managed to make a mark that soap and water couldn't remove entirely.
I would recommend clear bras to everyone.

I can't say enough about Brad Crane's excellent level of service for my clear bra. Not only did he customized the clear bra to my specs, but he gave me $50 off the price for being a club member. When I went to pick it up he had inexpectedly included the trunk and side mirror clear bra protection. He also detailed my car at no additional charge. 2 Thumbs way up.

Trunk? The car can go backwards and forwards. Gotta have protections for those times when pulling out of the garage backwards. :D

Yes, he put a small piece under the trunk lid on the rear bumper to protect against unloading scatches.
