This is faster and easier than waiting for a page to load on a crackberry. It's great for travel too.

1. Go into your contacts section of your phone:

2. Add a new contact as follows:

First Name: Weather
Last Name: Channel

Work phone: 42278

3. Save this information.

4. Pull up the name you saved, Weather Channel, just like any other person you might want to text.

5. Select the Work number to send a text message or your phone may automatically select for you

6. Enter any 5 digit zip code in the text message field (could be your local or any zip code when you travel) and press SEND

7. MOMENTS LATER YOU WILL GET QUICK 36 HOUR FORECAST

8. Shortly thereafter you will say, “sweet”

Cool, works on my V9800. Could come in handy in areas where my inet access is not working. Thanks.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to KatJ again.

I think I've gotten more rep/attempted rep for this post than any one ever. Guess I'm not as funny as I thought.:o

Ok. Cool. But try this...

Dial 1-800-555-TELL

The service is a childhood friend of mine's company called TellMe.
They are currently providing the IVR systems for the phone directories.

Speak voice commands to get weather, news, horoscopes, etc.
It's great.

Oh yeah, you will want to yell "COOL!" but hang up first otherwise it will try to get you "cool"...

Sounds a lot like Google SMS. Send txt to 46645 (Googl). I use that crap all the time to find the closest shops, restaurants, sports, and check prices.
