I will be searching for a new place for our weekly meets this weekend. Please post up your suggestions. Don't for the location has to be albe to seat all 12-20+ of use at one time at one table, parking has to be resonable, and the food can't be too expensive.

My wife works down there and often goes to a place called Cheeseburger in Paradise (one of Jimmy Buffet's resturants). She says its great and it would definately hold the people.
I think its in the Perimeter Mall area. http://www.cheeseburgerinparadise.com/

That is a cool shopping center. Very Atlantic Stationish. Parking in that area sucks though.

If you want an ITP option, Wolfgang Puck Express is a decent option. There is a parking deck behind Tarus that could easily park 100 cars on the lower level and seldom has more than a couple there.

I like that idea mainly because of the parking but the food was good and it's centrally located.

I liked that location as well. I did not like Pig & Chik, as it was very small and jerks sped way to fast and too close our cars in that lot.

...but would most likely drive.

I spent some time today looking at different locations, and i'll have to agree with silverfox2sk. I think Wolfgang Puck's restuarant will be a great location. I'll post up a poll.
That's pretty far in town for a 6:30 meet for those of us who work on the north side.
It would limit the amount I attend.

I'd have trouble making it there but then again, I have trouble making it now. :D

Yes but if it's harder for some it may be easier for others.

I'm not saying that the meet has to be convenient for me. I'm just giving my opinion.
I fully realize it may be easier for others....

Sorry, I don't think any of us want to be traveling up GA400 in the afternoon... but I will, if thats what the group wants.

Are there any restaurants just up Roswell? There has to be something in one of those big shopping centers.
BTW, there's a fudrucker's off Hammond across from Perimeter. Their service is a bit slow though.
There is a parking garage by the Cheeseburger in Paradise, but that's a popular area.
Why don't we give 5 Seasons a try? Minsoo knows the owner. It's not that much more expensive than Frankie's and it can't have worse food.

This week we will plan for 5 seasons. I will give them a call tomorrow to make sure they can accommodate us.

I talked to minsoo about that already. he said that they were willing to accommodate us for one time or so, but having a regular meeting there was probably not possible.

They will deny us service? I don't get it?

They wouldn't deny us, it would just be hard to get a permanent reservation on a day of the week. Apparently, they have other groups that go there. Anyway, I'm sketchy on the details. Maybe Minsoo can chime in.

Walter, there is a Taco Mac close to Perimeter Mall:
1211 Ashford Crossing
Atlanta, GA 30346
(678) 336-1381 phone
It's only about a mile or two away from Frankie's so it's not far off. We use to meet at the Taco Mac up Roswell a while ago. This one is a lot closer.

UPDATE!
Ok, I just got off the phone with 5 Season's. If you guys are game, they would like to invite us to try them out tomorrow night. Then, if we like it, perhaps we can make it our regular joint.
What do you think?

But is there parking near the Taco Mac?
It's the same center as the Cheeseburger in Paradise, etc.

and if it's the one I'm thinking... there's a deck (multiple floors) right behind Cheeseburger Paradise... we can all park at the top deck (as it will probably be less populated and best for parking together as a group... safety in numbers you know)

So then we would have two choices for the same location. Is the parking good?

they have a deck... Taco Mac/Cheeseburger....
behind cheesburger... if we choose between the two, I suggest everyone park at the top of the deck... they have elevators too!! :p
Parking should accomodate all of us at the top floor.

we have two threads going -_-"... we should make a poll like walter said... I don't see the poll:
5 Seasons
Taco Mac
Cheeseburger in Paradise
Frankies
Walter, get on the POLE!! :rolf:

09-25-2006, 01:27 PM
We'd need a poll really fast. I say we just go to 5 Season's and give it a try. Then try Taco Mac/CIP next week.
If a poll is set up, we need the choices of 5) try different ones and 6) doesn't matter.

Since we have a member that attempting to help organize a meet (which i encourage 100%) we will try out 5 Seasons.
Please disregards Toms note below (Don't be mad Tom) and meet us in our normal parking area at the Prado.
Sorry for all of the confusion however a poll willbe going up after tomorrows meet so that we can better organize this. :goodjob:
But I thought Minsoo had set us up for 5 Seasons?

Can't you delete or edit his post? Does Jesse not trust you? :D
Something that needs to be considered is holiday traffic. The closer to the mall or a brand new SuperTarget we are, the worse it will be to get there in December.
