I love this dumbass' defense

Don't mean to break up all the fun, but it is called taking the apex of the turn. I also have some nice footage of some bikes doing some pretty stupid passes in some pretty stupid places--not to mention the one who almost rode a wheelie through my back window trying to pass me and getting pissed off. If I can ever get it to upload, I'll send it to ya. Don't just hate on these guys, share it with others, too. There's plenty to go around. BTW--This weekend was my first time and it was great!!!

Where did you find that quote?

Seriously, if anyone knows the driver, he needs to be informed that what he's doing is dangerous, and whether or not he realizes it, his actions affect the S2000 community as a whole. From the looks of it, I don't think he really cares.

If you look close, they aren't even going for the apex. If they were the car would be pointed towards the next curve. Neither one of them are positioned well enough to claim they care about apexes.

They are just stupid.

What a bunch of idiots. Some people just don't get the lane thing. I was trying to explain to one guy how you just don't cross the double yellow. He said "how are you suppose to take the apexes?" I told him that as far as you're concerned, the other side of the road does not exist. Take the apex in your own lane. Some people are just plain idiots.

1.- we had a friend drive ahead of us and radeo back if any traffic was comming! IF THERE WAS WE DID NOT APEX
2.- we only did it on clearly visable corners!
3.- if the CORNER WAS BLIND WE DID NOT APEX!

I have seen lots of people apex on the dragon and did not think it was a big deal if done the way we did it. As for the blue s2000, the reason he was so far in the other lane is because of the local wild life he swerved to avoid at the turn before the picture was taken.

As for idiots blindly cutting corners that was not the case and i have plenty of seat/track time so i can handle myself!

Im here to say SORRY if i did something wrong. I didnt know so many people were against it. It wont happen again now that i know. as for everyone that continues to roast me about this i have plenty of footage of people doing far worse things.

I don't get the whole thing with having to apex the turn. it just doesn't make sense to me. You're not going for the fastest time. You're obviously there b/c of the turns, so why try to straighten them all out?

Then how come the silver s2000 isn't in the other lane as well? it seems like if you were driving the dragon for fun then you would not take turns <25 therefore responses shorter. and the closeness with the blue and the silver car shows that if there was a critter on the road the other car should be in the other lane as well since the only thig that is able to get inbetween two fast driving cars is a cheetah WHILE RUNNING! no opposom no nothing can get inbetween. and he basically said he was doing it on purpose as well from the part that says "we had a friend drive ahead and tell us of any traffic. he is just trying to cover stuff up with two different reasons that doesn't work with each other.

If there was a animal both cars should be on the other side oratleast one of them merging back into their lane and the second one merging on their lane as well.

Or the friend theory both cars would hit the apex if they even knew how to.

they obviously knew they are retarded and trying to cover it up with two screnarios that just didn't happen

If the asshat is purposely driving in the wrong lane, "hitting the apex", and a biker happened to come around a corner and hit the asshat on, killing the biker, what kind of charges would the asshat face?

Vehicular homicide?
Criminal vehicular homicide. A person is guilty of criminal vehicular homicide resulting in death and may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than ten years or to payment of a fine of not more than $20,000, or both, if the person causes the death of a human being not constituting murder or manslaughter as a result of operating a motor vehicle in a grossly negligent manner.

I was there that day with my 06 S2K. I talked to those people in Sebring and Suzuka. They were nice people, but the way they drove on the dragon was not fast at all so I consider that this is not such a big deal.

I only take apex when I am playing catch with the sports bikes. Well, I took some when I was chasing the NSX that day, too.

As long as you check for your surroundings and be focus, doing it once in a while is not that big of a deal.

But if you take the apex at every single turns, that's STUPID.

It takes skill to be fast and stay in your lane at the same time!

We (as S2000 owners) have earned great respect from the locals and others that freqent the Dragon based on our ability to drive the road well without endangering others. Asshats like these guys, destroys all of that. And they are the reason the Dragon is heavily patroled by TN troopers.

That said, you do not cross the double yellow! You have no way of knowing how fast another vehicle is traveling in the opposite direction and should never encroach on their lane.

They said they had a friend radioing back. What happens when that friend doesn't radio fast enough or the transmission isn't received?
