Maybe shorten the rope? Rope length looks about right (he hits the largest secton of the wake). Jesse just needs to stop being such a wuss and cut harder to gain more speed.

Trust me, being a wuss isn't the issue. It's easy to say cut harder, it's harder to actually do it and be in position to jump. As a n00b to the sport it is... :D

from the pics it looks like there is to much slack in the rope on your landing. Try cutting across the wake and not twords the boat. Remember keep it tought! It also could be just the angle of the pic but is hard to tell.

I used to water skii a lot and the hardest thing to do is cut harder.
