how often should we meet..poll

andretti was alot of fun for everyone tonight.

before the meet at least 2 people on this board expressed interest in having the meet less often. then at andretti I talked to at least 4 other people who also thought meeting less often would seem better. so I am going to make this poll to try to reach more people to see what most of the members want.

Why do people care about meeting less? This makes no sense, just don't come every week and then it will seem like less, problem solved....

agreed -- as stated earlier in other threads, an every week meet gives people the option of showing up when they want (I'd like to go tonight but I need to ......., no worries I'll just go next week)

I agree with you all that it is nice to have the 'option' of coming out to meet up every week, but the only downsides to that are 1) people become burned out more quickly and stop showing up for months at a time, and 2) if meets are more rare, everyone will make more of an effort to be there which also means your chances of meeting up with 'everyone' will be greater.

Either way, I'm flexible ;)

I agree with Jesse. The majority of the people at the meetings I've been to have not even been the same people. Having more meetings gives more Tuesday's to choose from if you are busy and can't make one or two. If it is less often some of us may not get to come but every few months. There is no obligation for members to attend the meetings so no one should feel they have to come or come every week.

because he likes your company of course not b/c as members we are "supposed" to be there and if we aren't someone will be upset, it's an optional meet :)

I agree with Jess. Don't go if it's too frequent. The downside to, say, monthly is if you wanted to go and miss it- it'll be two months before you're able to again. And given some of you diehards, I think there'd be some weird Club Withdrawal Syndome. Look what happened when the site was down!

Don't know the turnout for weekly meets all year long, but I think weekly this time of year is great, but as attendence drops into the winter change it to every other week.

Weekly works best for me. Since I can rarely make it due to a crazy work schedule, I like knowing that when I do have a Tuesday night free, I can count on an S2000 club meet.

Weekly is great because when I'm actually in town it gives me the option to see everyone instead of monthly or every other week.
