Had to reply to your ad cause it looks lonely. I've got the 1 ghz version of the same computer, and I love it. Looks like there's a few Apple addicts in the group. S2000 and Apple owners have a lot in common seeing as how they're attracted to above average quality and style. If it were up to me I'd make it mandatory to have a Mac if you had an S!!! Let's start an Apple thread!

Oh who are you kidding. We all know you just surf the web to see how many times a day you can post. :p

I've been wanting to try a Mac for awhile now. If that one had a cdr and was a little faster I may just try to get it. Oh before I call this thing slow I should ask what it is equal to inthe PC world as far as speed goes and how much a cdr would cost and is this a good deal for a Mac:confused:

I think it's kind of slow 400mhz, but apple laptops are pretty pricey too...

You guys do any private labeling on your web product??I don't know what you mean by that.... This agency is mostly print, we've only done a couple of websites for clients. We're trying to push the web though....

Thanks for the posts guys, at least the thread is active. We've got a 15" Flat panel iMAC and really like it.

If anyone wants any Apple equipment please let me know, I've got a family member (same one as is selling the laptop) that usually has some good stuff for sale.

Almost bought one of those, but decided to move a G4 from production instead. Hooked it up to an Apple 17" running OS 10.3. What an improvement over OS9. Moving everything to OSX asap.

I have an old Powerbook G3 400mhz that is running OSX. I would say that is the bare minimum for OSX.

Hey Dave, I'd like a mac keyboard and mouse. I've also been spreading the word, we are all mac here at SCAD. If you have a price on those, that would be great. Thanks, Brandon

Brandon, You need to be specific and tell me exactly which keyboard and mouse you want. Do you want an Apple brand mouse and keyboard or just any brand? The Apple stuff is worth a bit more. If you want a genuine Apple keyboard which model, standard or extended? If you want a genuine Apple mouse, which one, the older round single button or the newer oval single click?

I think I can get you what you want pretty cheap but you'll need to pay for shipping from Florida. Let me know.

Hey Dave, sorry.....I'm looking for the standard Apple keyboard and oval mouse. The kind that connects with the USB. I would like the white keyboard and mouse if you don't mind. Also, I don't mind paying shipping if you can give me a cost before I commit. Thanks, Brandon

Dave,
I am looking into getting a laptop but don't think I want to spend that much. Is it still available or do you have any other ideas? I'm not a computer wizard, I don't need all the bells and stuff(I wouldn't know what to do with it). I just need something to do your normal documents, spreadsheets and play on the net.

You need to first decide if you want a Mac or PC. I assume that since your asking in this thread that you want a Mac. The one that's still for sale is a good one and as laptops go, expect to spend at least $750 for something that's not completely outdated, Mac or PC. On average, new laptops sell for about $1,500 so budgeting 50% of that on a used one should be reasonable.

If you don't want to spend that much on a laptop, a desktop would be your next choice since they are a less costly overall.

Thanks for the info. I don't really know the difference yet between Mac and PC. I have just recently had a little experience with Mac. I do want a labtop not a desktop I know that. I'll look at my budget and see what I can do this month. I'll get back with you. Please PM me the bottom price for what you have available now. Thanks.

Mac's are gay and cost a fortune, PC's are cheap but you can get viruses, crashes, data corruption, etc.

In reality it comes down what your primary use will be. In my narrow view I see it as this:

PC = xl, word & gaming
Mac's = Graphics/video editing

Before the whining starts I know that each can do the other but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The Mac vs PC battle will never be decided.

Oh, and damn you for dragging me into a Mac thread. This will not happen again.

Good luck on the sale Dave.

Disclaimer: when I say that Mac's are gay I'm referring to the silly colors, not the users so don't get offended, except for Jesse. I don't care if he's offended.
